Days of Yore artwork is an acrylic landscape painting built around delicate lines, muted colour and open space. Slender, almost bare forms rise across the canvas against soft layers of blue, grey and white. Warmer earthy tones along the ground add contrast to the cooler landscape above. I wanted this piece to feel quiet and slightly distant, almost like looking back at a place through a memory. The loose lines and softened background leave much of the scene undefined. That simplicity gives the painting its calm, dreamlike quality.
