Delusion artwork is a mixed media landscape painting built from expressive black lines and softly layered colour. Tall, delicate forms stretch upward from the dense foreground against a hazy palette of cream, yellow and muted grey. The exaggerated scale gives the landscape an abstract, almost surreal quality. I wanted this piece to sit somewhere between a real landscape and something imagined. Some of the forms feel familiar, while others become less recognizable the longer you look at them. I like that uncertainty and the way the simplicity of the composition leaves room for your own interpretation.
