Elderly Portrait Drawing is a close-up study built around detail, expression and character. The face fills most of the composition, bringing attention to the lines, textures and features that come with age. I used fine linework throughout the face and beard, with softer shading to create depth and contrast. Some areas are rendered very precisely, while others remain lighter and more restrained. This keeps the portrait detailed without losing the natural character of the subject.
