Lost Painting is an acrylic artwork built around overlapping geometric forms, strong lines and vivid colour. Red and orange dominate the composition, while areas of black create structure and contrast throughout the piece. I approached the painting through shape and repetition rather than a recognizable subject. Rectangles, squares and irregular forms overlap and connect across the canvas. Some feel ordered, while others seem to interrupt that structure. That tension is a big part of the piece.
