October Skies artwork is a mixed media landscape painting inspired by the changing colours and atmosphere of autumn. Fine black lines stretch across the foreground, while layers of white, earthy tones and deep red create a landscape that feels both open and slightly unsettled. I wanted to capture that particular feeling you get when the seasons begin to shift. The landscape becomes quieter, the colours deepen and the sky can change completely from one moment to the next. The loose lines keep the piece expressive, while the darker sky brings a little drama into the scene.
