Disorder
Disorder Artwork explores the city through fragmented architecture, strong vertical forms and an atmospheric sky. Created in 2013, the composition exists in two mixed media versions, each interpreting the same urban landscape at a different scale. I used layered textures and irregular architectural forms to give the skyline an unfinished, almost skeletal quality. Against them, the dramatic red and amber sky creates a strong contrast with the darker structures below.

Disorder artwork is part of my cityscape paintings, where I explore architecture, urban environments and the changing character of the city through mixed media. You can also explore Toronto, another cityscape where layered architecture and texture shape the composition in a very different way.
