Skies of Cairns
Skies of Cairns artwork captures a tropical landscape beneath a sky filled with colour and movement. Soft blues, warm pinks and touches of orange spread across the clouds, while the darker landscape below creates a strong contrast. I wanted the sky to be the focus of this piece. The palm tree and surrounding vegetation create a sense of place, but the changing light above them is what really drives the painting. Layers of colour and texture give the clouds depth without losing the openness of the scene.
