Transition
Transition artwork is a mixed media landscape diptych dominated by a large, luminous moon. Warm reds and earthy tones move across the horizon, while dense black forms rise from the foreground. The contrast gives the painting a dramatic sense of depth and atmosphere. I wanted the moon to feel almost oversized, as though it were moving closer to the landscape. The two-panel format adds another element to the composition and plays naturally into the idea of transition. Texture is a big part of the piece too, especially across the surface of the moon and the layers surrounding it.

Transition artwork is part of my landscape paintings, where I explore nature through texture, scale, colour and atmosphere.
