Blue

Blue is an original mixed media painting that brings together a real guitar, painting and collage in a single piece. The guitar projects from the surface of the canvas, while layers of black-and-white photographs, posters and music imagery create the background around it. Colour is concentrated on the guitar itself, where painted details, graphics and layered elements stand against the mostly monochrome collage. The contrast gives the piece a strong physical presence while keeping the connection to music at the centre of the composition.
